My name is Elizabeth Verbel, I'm eighteen years old and I'm in fifth semester of psychology at the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. I was born in Barranquilla and I have lived my whole life here, and I think that it is a very happy city, where you can have so much fun. When the time comes, celebration, food, dance, joy and many more things arrives to the city and its people. However, I am different from almost every person I know; I, personally, prefer quite; since I don't dance so much, I'm not a "carnavalera" person. One thing that I love to do is to learn about other people and their culture. But... the things that I love the most are two: to read books and watch movies about mystery and crimes, and to learn about human mind and behavior, specially of the criminal insane people. It's really interesting, you know?
I've never really travel around the world, but that is something that I definitely want to do. Not just to see the scenery or eat their food, but also to learn about the people. Human behavior is different in every part of the world due to something named "culture", and that
is something just... fantastic!
P.S. I started this blog because of an assignment, but I plan to use it and to enjoy it!

Hi Elizabeth. This is a great picture. Where is it from? I also agree that the criminally insane are very interesting. There is a podcast that I listen to, where a reporter named Jon Ronson has done many stories on the criminally insane, and has recently written a book called "The Psychopath Test." I'm attaching a link here to the podcast where his stories appear: http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/episode/436/the-psychopath-test
ResponderEliminarHi, miss Cedercreutz. Thank you so much for your comment. About the picture... I don't know where is it from, but I really wish I do; It's really beautiful. And yeah... Criminal insanity is a very interesting topic to me. Specially psychopaths, who have a really interesting mind. Have you ever seen the "Hannibal" saga? I totally recommend it. Also, I would like to work in the US at the FBI doing psychological profiles to cath criminals. But sometimes I think it can be a little scary..
EliminarI like the psychology too, in some time i really wanted study psychology, but after imagine all that books that you have to read, i see that psychology it's not my best choice. I remember read a few articles of mister Freud and think, "the human mind is amazing". Thanks for the memories.
ResponderEliminarHi, Andrés. You're so right. We have to read A LOT! Hahaha. And yes, the human mind is Amazing. I love Freud, he was so smart, and psychoanalysis is one of the things that I want to study deeply. Thanks for your comment! :)
